Since 2016 January, we had 8 tours of WGL(including GCG and the Super GCS), how many stories do you remember? We will use 10 crucial words to review these stories.

Championship

8 tours of WGL, 8 championships, and all of them are the Chinese players, 120 got three of them, TH000 and Fly got two, and Infi got one.

The big four of China are really IMBA, this is my field, this is my home!

Destiny

In the famous Chinese novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a great and strong genaral, Guan Yu [1], he poured a cup of wine before he went to the front line to have a PK with a genaral from the opponent site, Hua Xiong. After Guan Yu killed and cut down Hua Xiong's head, then came back to the military camp, the wine was still warm and steaming.

And we have a similar story in WGL, 120 got a cup of instant noodles before he went to the game vs Rudan, after he won the game and came back, the noodles was still warm.

In fact, 120 wasn't showing off, he just wanted to have some foods to heat up himself, and kept himself in a good state, however the night was Christmas Eve, all the restaurants were full of customers, so he chose the instant noodles.

Draw

It's hard to have a draw in War3. On War3 history, the draws between TeD vs WFZ and Infi vs Moon are the classical games, on WGL history, we have only one draw, and this game was created by Moon and Yumiko.

First round of Round 8 to 4, first game

On EI, both of them had a level 6 hero, but they didn't dare to fight directly, and played with base run only. At last, Moon chose to AG and won the game.

Quit

As a human, the most important thing is to be happy.

The second strong player in Europe, Foggy, he had been in the top three several times, and gave a deep impression to the audiences, and Happy as well, but he didn't made it on the stage.

After he won in the qualifier, Happy had disagreement with the organizing committee because of various factors, so he chose to quit the tournament. After that, we had a several dramas about he and offline tournaments, he even got the money to the offline tournament from his fans, but he didn't come at last.

Banned

We have no only the funny moment in WGL, but also the unhappy case. The most serious case may belong to the Romantic case, Romantic was banned by WGL official for one year because he had a passive play in the games.

Commentator

At the beginning, we had Zhou Ning(周宁), Xixi, Yaya(牙牙), fordream. After that, we had BBC and Xiao Cang(小苍). Recently, the commentators are always be TeD, Qiaolin(桥林), Snowkiss(雪妍), Xun, Yaya(牙牙), and all of them are UD players, seems UD players became the main force of commentators.

however, the most interesting moment belongs to 120 and Infi, they were so embarrassing on the stage.

Boxing

As a sport, War3 are always having some enthusiastic moments. In most situations, the western are more enthusiastic than Eastern, our Ukraine boy, Foggy, he were having a interesting moment after he won the game.

In 2016 Spring, Foggy came to the offline tournament for the first time, and he would have a boxing show after he won the game, this action made the audiences and fans called him as "The king of Boxing".

After you became famous, there would be some people started to imitate you. Our senior player, Check imitated Foggy in the 2017 Winter. However, Check was worse than Foggy in boxing, after that, he lost the game to Foggy and didn't get the ticket to the Grand Finals.

2v2

Comparing with 1v1, 2v2 games are not popular as 1v1, however 2v2 games are still interesting. On WGL history,  we have three championships of 2v2, TeD got twice, he got it with Check and Hainiu separately, another one was belonged to Fly and Zhouxixi.

However, 2v2 games has been canceled since 2017.

Cup

Same as the players, the Cups were improving themselves too, take a look for their evolution.

BREC (One Belt One Road international eSports competition feat Xinhua eSports Grand Finals) is held by Xinhua new media center and Jiaozhou city government, this tournament will be started on 2018 Dec 21st, and the games will be played until Dec 3rd, and War3 is the selected game in this tournament.

From Dec 21st to Dec 23rd, "One Belt One Road"(OBOR)[1] international eSports competition feat Xinhua eSports Grand Finals will be started at Fangyuan sport center in Jiaozhou city, this tournament includes Fortnite, FIFAOL4 and Warcraft III. By the time, the players and squads from the countries along OBOR will play in the Jiaozhou city.

On the morning of Nov 18th, Xinhua new media center and Jiaozhou city government published this tournaments in a conference which held in JZWenhuaguan(Jiaozhou Citizen Cultural Center).

This tournament will be held from Dec 21st to Dec 23rd at Fangyuan sport center in Jiaozhou city, this tournament includes Fortnite, FIFAOL4 and Warcraft III, and the players and squads from the countries along OBOR are invited. This is an elimination tournament, and the games will be adhered to the principles of objectivity and fairness, based on the latest and most standardized rules of the event for each game, they provide a great tournaments to the players and squads.

The fans in Jiaozhou city can register with the official website and come into the hall, this is chance to see the professional players and squads from Russia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, Lithuania, and the games will be play on streams with live, let the fans who are not able to be here can watch the game too.

In the conference, President of China Culture and Entertainment Industry Association Mr. Liu Jin Hua said, this tournament is for the players who are having eSports dreams, and the world is having diverse cultures, so they invited the players from the countries along OBOR, to comply the needs of the world, they believe this is an important and meaningful action.

Jiaozhou city is located at the edge of the land beside The Yellow Sea (West Sea), and this is one of the origin of Chinese Culture, meanwhile, it is one of the first coastal open cities in Shandong Province, so it is called "Golden Jiaozhou". It is an open and creative city,currently, OECD Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, National Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay International Logistics Park and Qingdao Daxie River Provincial Ecotourism Resort are developing in this city, these will be a big property for the high quality economy. A lot of audiences predict that Moon will get the champion in this time, let's have a preview together.

0 champion in GCS, can Moon break the curse?

Moon played in GCS for five times, and his best result is third place. In the last three times, Moon was eliminated in the Group Stage for two times.

In the last few years, Moon won the title of PGL, however, this is the only title in all of the offline tournaments for Moon since 2015 when Moon came back from duty.

We know Moon is a great player, but the audiences always want Moon to get better result, he wants it as well. Every year, we ask if Moon can win the championship.

Moon didn't win the champion in WCG, but he still has the chance for WGL's title.

Big improvement in patch 1.30

On GCS history, Moon defeated by 120 twice, and defeated by Fly twice. If you ask who can defeat Moon in patch 1.28 and 1.29, we could have a long list: 120, Fly, Lyn, FoCuS, TH000, Infi......On the other hand, NE vs Orc is the weakness of Moon, even though when he was facing Xiaokk or Soin, Moon won by a narrow margin.

Since we have the patch 1.30, with the strategy with KOG, Huntresses and expansion, NEs are dominating the game against Orc, this patch even forced FoCuS tried some weird strategies to win, like Tower Rush in Tier 1. Furthermore, 120 became the disadvantaged site when he plays against Moon, whether in the Clan War and W league, we saw that 120 had no solution to play against Moon in this patch.

The opponents are falling down in this patch, will Moon create the legend again?

Moon is still having hidden danger on the road to champion

Whether the caster, audiences and players, most of them think that Moon will be the champion if he plays safely and without huge mistake. However, Moon is a player that always make mistake, for example: the creeps killed by the trees or Lighting Shield, Ancient of War dead in Creeps Camp, unnecessary hero dead, forgot using the staff.

Do you remember the game that Moon vs Fly on Turtle Rock? The Ancient of War was killed by the creeps in the opening, this was a really unnecessary mistake. Second, if Moon was defeated by Infi, he has to won all the rest of the games, but Sonik and Zhouxixi are good players in NE mirror, if Moon really did some big mistakes, the road to the champion would become harder so much.

Infi and TH may be the biggest opponent

Since Blizzard released patch 1.30, a lot of people said Human became a weak race, Infi and TH changed their race to play in games, Chaemiko and Sok became the background of poster, the most powerful race became a target of others.

However, Infi's talk may be the crucial point in this time, Human might be playing a chess with a big strategy. We may not see the Human in sight, but Infi and TH are discussing and researching the strategy themselves, and they didn't let the others get the replays and references, and they will keep it until the offline tournament, what a big plan by Human players!

When we recall the game in the month race that Infi won against Moon with Blood Mage, Alchemist, Riflemen, Mortal Teams with single Gold Mine, we may know that Human are very strong when they find out the method and strategy to counter against NE. In the coming offline tournament, we have no idea how Infi and TH will play against Moon, and this may be the huge troubles for Moon. How should Moon do against the strategy that he has no idea?

On the other hand, the player who has the same race with Moon, Lawliet, he also becomes better in this patch. In the last 14 games, Lawliet is having minor advantage with resulting 8 wins and 6 losses. In patch 1.30, Lawliet is the only player that won Moon for twice. We have a lot of choice and strategies in NE mirror, anything will be possible in their games.

It's about fate and destiny, so we just need to do our best. It's what we can say in the conclusion.

We hope Moon get the champion and create the legend again, even though this is not easy.
