Professional WGL

The previous WGL will be upgraded to Professional WGL, and twice for each year, and the location will be in Shanghai, Yangpu District, B.link Studio

NetEase is attaching importance to this tournaments. E-sports director, IRIS said: When we were talking about WCG, we would say that was a largest tournament for Warcraft III. And now, we are going to make WGL become a similar tournamemt.

The tournament will be upgraded to be like WCS in Starcraft II, whether prizes, propaganda, or representation of players, they will try to learn from the popular E-sports games, and make China as a center of Warcraft III.

We will have 16 players to be in Professional WGL, they will be 6 Chinese, 4 Korean, 3 Americans and 3 Europeans. However, the number and ratio of the players may be change, this depends on the situation of the related division and region.

For China, the players have to get the points to get into WGL, they can get the points from tournaments, ladder, games in the seasons, basically these are same as this year.


City tour

In the article yesterday, we said about the Singles (Single Competition) and the Club Sompetition (Or we may call it as Team Matches, Team Competition, etc.)

Wuhan, Xi'an, Chengdu, Beijing will be the stations for city tour.

According to the information we got today, the begin of City tour will be China vs World, this is similar to the clan war between China vs Europe in Hearthstone, and this game will be the celebration of the return of Warcraft III.

For singles, the normal gamers are allowed to register and play on the stage, and this is the stage for them, if they could knock down the professional players on the stage, this would be the chance to become a famous player.


CSL

Warcraft III is included by CSL (College Star League), so we will have a selection tournament in the college. Of course, the player who get the championship will get the scholarship for the 4 years study fees
