After a long wait, patch 1.30.4 was finally updated on Netease platform.
Let's see how TH000 talk about the changes.

We made a summary about what TH000 said in the video.

1. Kotg+Alchemist combo may be disappeared.

Kotg's cast range is reduced, and the damage of Alchemist's Acid Bomb is weakened, these changes made these two heroes weaker than patch 1.30.1, at the same time, Night Elves may play with Demon Hunter first or Warden first, probably Panda Second.
Kotg may be summoned only on the map that easy to get to level 3.

2. Spell Breakers get a really big buff.

When Human faces the summoning heroes, once it comes to the Tier 2, then Spell Breaker will play an unparalleled role. The Water Elemental of the Archmage, the Wolves of the Far Seer, the Skeletons of the Undead, and the Treants of the Kotg will basically be useless, and Human will be very strong in direct fight.

At the same time, the Dispel of Priests will no longer matter.

3. Night Elves get nerfed in overall.

Besides Kotg and Alchemist, the Glaive Throwers, Huntresses, Mountain Giants get nerfed, this change will effect the game of Night Elf vs Orc and Night Elf vs Human.

For example, Huntresses's Owl has to be upgraded now, it will be influential when Night Elf is playing against Blade Master, if Night Elf wants to expand in Tier 1, the timing will be fixed, this make the Orc is easier to get the chance to harass.
The food cost of MG is increased, this change makes Night Elf be weaker when they are using this unit to play against Human, they may consider to use Bears and Dryads again.
For Night Elf Mirror, we may not see mass Glaive Throwers mirror again.

However, these changes may not effect Night Elf vs Undead, Night Elves may still keep bullying the Undeads.

4. Human players have to create the strategies with Blood Mage.

Flame Strike will be useful in direct fight, and you can also use it to kill Peasants and Peons, meanwhile, Alchemist is nerfed, Human players really need to create some strategies with Blood Mage.

5. Human can try to replace the Guard Towers with Cannon Towers, when they are playing against Undead.

Two Cannon Towers may be as strong as 7-8 Guard Towers, and you can spend the other resources on Flying Machines to fight against Destroyers. But, this is basing on that you can expand and finish the Workshop successfully.

6. Necropolis and Acolytes rush is useless now.

Seems Blizzard doesn't like this strategy.

7. The Orcs have to face their nightmare again.

The opponents will go to cancel the Orcs' buildings again.

Remark by GLH: B2W and some of the fans were writing in English, so I am just copying, I just translated the question that written in Chinese.

Recently, the famous European Warcraft commentator Back2Warcraft, Neo and Remo came to CNwar3 and interacted with the fans of Warcraft. In the interactions, Neo and Remo expressed their opinion on some question such as patch 1.30, Foggy, and the European Warcraft environment.

Let's come and read some highlighted question.

Harryyyh:
Greetings Neo & Remo! I am impressed by your streaming technique! How can you display all important data of a game (levels of heroes, their experience, and the skills they have learned) at the left side of the screen? Do you guys write such a program? Thanks for your time in advance!

B2W: Ni hao ma Harry[1], thank you for your question! Neo here
I'm pretty proud of this software solution we build. We are, as far as i know, the only people in the world using this. Since 1.29 (or 1.30, not sure), War3 provides an API that hands out such information. It took us forever to find the right values and export the icons from the editor. We have more plans for the future, such as production of units, buildings and upgrades, a graph that displays the mined gold and so on. The power of this tool is basically unlimited and we hope to create an insightful UI, similar to Starcraft2 or Dota2. If you have any suggestions, just let us know!

Also, we can grab data from Liquipedia, to show a players recent results, a tournament bracket, map picks and bans and so on. I think it's really important to provide the viewer with as much information as possible, so he learns more about the players, the scene and the game in general.

We did not code the program ourselves, but hired an expert for it. Chris has been an amazing partner since 2016 and we're glad to be working with him!

Thank you for watching our streams harry, especially with all the great chinese casters you have!

Remark by GLH[1]: ."ni hao ma" means 你好吗, which means how do you do, and "Ni hao" means Hi.

犬神:
1. Is the European War3 environment better than before? Will there be a large offline tournament in the future?
2. Are you satisfied with the current patch and the balance?

B2W: Ni hao dog god! Thanks a lot for your questions. Neo here!

1. It's getting better and better, yes. That's mostly due to people like Ugrilainen, David, HundredKG and x3-Demon. Now we have some things that did not exist before:
- A homepage like War3Station called Warcraft3.info, it's really really good and provides a lot of news and information
- A great team of admins and organizers, who are working for fun but act very professionally
- Players that can make a steady income with War3, due to their success in tournaments (Foggy) or team support (HawK & Cash)
- A team league that will hopefully build a better foundation of tier2 and tier3 players

We still lack skills in sales, meaning that our prize money is oftentimes depending on private sponsors. I want some companies to invest into Warcraft again and I'm pretty sure we can make it work! Keke and her team are a great inspiration, because they work so hard and successfully. We want to be like that.

Another problem is hosting on Battle.net. Prior to patch 1.30.3, we used host-bots and were able to provide fair conditions to every player outside China. Now, Blizzard killed the host-bots (I'm sure they have good reasons), but the server structure is not good enough. we have one server in the US, one in Europe and one in South Korea. So for matches between Russia and South Korea, it's just not possible to have a fast and fair server. that hurts competition a lot and there is nothing we can do to change that except hope for a solution by Blizzard.

2. 1.30.4 is already better than the version that is currently played on Netease, but it still has flaws. I'm a little sick of KotG, Glaive Throwers and Mountain Giants, but you know what?
I love that Orc can play BM, FS and even SH first. I like to see different starting heroes, not only BM, DH, DK & AM all the time. I love Lucifer's Undead play with mass ghouls or even fast expansion. It's refreshing to see changes and see an evolving meta, but Blizzard seriously has some more work to do!

Charlie:
Night Elf is a the only great race in patch 1.30. In Asia, the patch imbalance has been recognized by most professional and amateur players, but it is not consistent in Europe. Both sides are represented by ToD and Foggy, and seems you are biased that NE is a balanced race, I would like to ask that:
(1) Are you NE players?
(2) Are you a "cloud" player?[2]
(3) What is your relationship with Foggy and ToD?
(4) Do you know that Foggy said "Human players didn't work hard", and it has become one of the big memes of Warcraft in Patch 1.30?

B2W: Ni hao Charlie! thank you for your questions, Neo here!

1. No, we both play UD
2. I don't know if I understand your questions correctly, but let me take a guess:
I'm mostly watching games and tournaments, and not playing too much because I take care of organization, social media and future development of B2W. I try to play 1 hour every day, but it oftentimes doesn't work out. To be honest, I'm embarrassingly bad! But I hope that I create some hype and action on stream, that makes up for it! Remo is our expert, plays a lot and is pretty good!
3. Foggy, we love this guy! It's been so cool to see his development from 2015 until today, his story could fill a documentary. He's always  so professional, funny and hard working. He deserves all the success in the world.
ToD: I met ToD twice, for the TING tournament we did commentary together which i think was really good! I'm very happy that he's back in the Warcraft scenes as he provides an extra flavor that we didn't have before. I'm very sure that we are very different persons and have a lot of different opinions about life and how to handle things. i have much respect for him and his accomplishments, wish him all the best and hope that one day, we'll do commentary together again! I don't know if he feels the same though ^^

4. Yes, thanks to GornLanHabor, we now learn a lot more about Chinese drama than before  That's a very cool project, that translated Chinese news into English for us fans. I'm not sure how to comment on this, as I don't know TH000 or Infi's work ethic and i don't want to judge this. But if you saw the DouyuTV Thunder & Fire Cup, you saw how prepared TH000 was against Moon! I was so impressed, just an unbelievable performance! Both are geniuses and have shown us things, that we've never seen before in War3, so i admire both of them! I got to admit, that they played a lot worse during WGL though, so maybe Foggy's comments ignited their motivation to beat NE again?  I don't know

Remark by GLH[2]: Cloud players means the people who are only watching but not playing, B2W guessed it right.

StupidVic:
Hi guys of B2W! If you must choose a male wc3 pro to marry, who and why?

B2W: ahahhaha very good question!

Sorry to disappoint all the other pro-gamers, but LawLiet wins this one for me! He's just the best and makes me laugh all the time. Seeing LawLiet is guaranteed fun and a good time, and that's what's most important to me

魔兽争霸III:
How fast that you drive to autobahn in Germany, how fast is the fastest speed? how do you feel to this?

B2W: hahaha another good question, but I don't even have a drivers license! So sorry, I can't answer that, really ^^

Hayatahina:
I have 2 questions to ask:

1. Can you register an account on Weibo, there are some things you posted on Facebook or Reddit and other foreign websites, you can copy them and post on Weibo, so that you can make Chinese Warcraft fans know some things about the Warcraft in Europe, we are very interested in it (because of the network shielding, what you send in other places I can not see.)

2. We want to know your comments on some big competitions! We are also willing to share our comments! I want to have some interaction with you, like WGL, Thunder&Fire Cup, etc.

3.Or I hope that you often come to this forum to send something, let us know about it~

B2W: Ni hao hayatahina! so cool to see that you're so interested in what we do!

1. I'd love a weibo account! I tried to create one several times, but always failed. I guess there's a restriction for non-chinese users? Maybe someone can help us!

2. Oh NetEase and War3Station are doing such great work with WGL! It's impressive how they improve every single time. I'm not a fan of round-robin groupstage and single-elimination playoffs myself, but the environment and production is clearly improving and I'm always impressed by their work.
but what's most important for me at those event is: meeting friends and family!

We visit China since 2014 (for WCA) and are partners of NetEase since 2016. We're not invited because we create any money for them, rather the opposite, but because we share the same dream and passion: the spread the love for War3 everywhere! This goes especially for Keke, who I feel is family for us. It doesn't matter when we contact her or for what reason, she's -always- helping us! And makes us feel home and secure when we're in China. This goes for her entire family and I'm 100% sure Foggy would say the same about her. She's the one and only mother of War3 and I hope we stay in touch until the end of my days.

I love the interaction with Asian players as well. Even though there's a language barrier, we can communicate in broken english or with gestures or via wechat translation and we understand each other and have a good time together. The love for this game unites us all and our brains and minds are somehow connected. At least that's the way I feel about it.

It's even more beautiful, if the good time we have transcends to other people outside the gaming world. I was standing outside the WGL venue with a Chinese friend, to catch some fresh air, and we were joking about each other and laughing a lot. One Chinese cleaning lady was passing by and it was very obvious that us having a good time made her smile big time. One of the best moments I had during an event!

I think eer0 said it in the documentary that Newbee did at WGL: The best thing about events is meeting and making friends! So if you see us during WGL or whatever happens this year, please come say hello! It doesnt matter if your english is good or not! Our Chinese is way worse  We can use WeChat and talk that way - it's always a big, big pleasure to meet Warcraft fans outside of the cyberspace.

3. If our time allows it, we can definitely visit the forum more often!

雨中君:
Who are the two of you more handsome?

Remo is gifted with beautiful DNA, i stand no chance against his handsomeness =(

司蒂雯捺德:
Hi, Mr. Neo, Mr. Remo, some players in China who think that the design of the undead is not complete, and there is no certain means of siege. The Frost wyrm is the most expensive and the highest technology required unit for Undead, but their performance is not satisfactory. Can Neo and Remo suggest some amendments or collect some suggestions from European players? At the same time, can you give some comments to Blizzard?

B2W: Ni hao Stiewende! Very interesting question - Neo here!

We can definitely forward feedback to Blizzard, please send your suggestions to Back2Warcraft@gmail.com.
We oftentimes do this and give our suggestions on things. Some things are very easy, some are more difficult- for example the undead race. Me personally, I rather give feedback on other things than balance, because i don't think i understand the game enough to do so.

It's true, that UD is very one-dimensional. They lack spells and disabled for sure and rely on explosive timings, so you're always never allowed to make a mistake (except if you Coil+Nova well, lol!)

For more in-depth comments, I'll let Remo do the talking  He will reply later.

Abstention judgment: If the player does not check in the specified time, he will be judged as abstaining; if a player abandons the game twice and more than two times, he will be given a penalty for this serious case.
Players are not allowed to change races during the countdown, otherwise they will be considered as abstained.

Disconnection judgment: If a player intentionally disconnects or uses abnormal measures to cause disconnection without getting consent of the referee, after verification, he will be deemed to be fouled and sentenced to loss;
If the game does not work properly due to tech, network, etc. during the game, the race committee will decide whether to AG.

Race: Players can change their races during the tournaments, but only one race is allowed in a BO3 / BO5 / BO7 series, and "random" is considered as a race.

5) Map Banning and Picking

a) Group stage: For BO3, let say Player A is the first player to ban the map, B is the second one, the two players will be randomly selected as A or B before the game.

The banning order will be A B B A, which means Player A will ban a map first, after that, Player B will ban two maps, then Player A will ban a map again. So, Player A and B will ban two maps each in a BO3 series.

After map banning, Player A will pick the "loser map" first (this map will be used if he loses), then, Player B will pick his loser map, and the map didn't be banned and picked will be the first map of the series.

b) Playoffs: For BO5, both players choose to be A or B by flipping the coin. Then both sides ban one map, and they will pick their loser map.
So, the order will be:
A bans a map;
B bans a map,
A picks his first loser map,
B picks his first and second loser map,
A picks his second loser map, and the remaining one is the first map.

After that, the game will use the map selected by the loser, and the order is according to their picks.

For BO7, there is no Map banning, and the referee will select a map randomly as the first map.

6) Game Pause
During the game, if the player is unable to continue the game for a special situation, he can choose to pause. If the quota of pauses of the player in the game has been used up, he need to play "PP", the referee will suspend the game, and wait for both players to continue to play after the players are ready.

On 1st January, 2017, before the start of the WGL Warcraft 3 finals, Guo Zixiang (Newbee.eer0, ID: 120) had a little secret.

Before the finals, 120 went to profess his love to his current girlfriend, and the girl replied:"Let's talk about this after the games."

With a score of 3-2, 120 caught a mistake of Lyn and won his first major championship. When he returned to his seat, he was anxious to know the answer. In retrospect, he was somewhat uninterested in that victory.

"I won the championship, doesn't it mean that she will promise?"

After the final, 120 rushed to find her, but the girl directly rejected him.

"If I reject him directly, it may affect his status, so I said that let's about it after the finals."

In the interview during the day, 120's girlfriend sat silently beside him. She also ordered a drink and said to 120: "I have half the contribution to this championship, right?"

120 nod.

I am playing in a tournament!

120 will get up at 07:15 every day. After washing, he will ride to the company, which is 8 o'clock exactly.

"Ready to work." 120 laughed.

He majored in computer at university and now he is mainly working as a programmer. During the work, he will do some very basic program work, and after work, 120 has another job to do.

He usually arrives at home at 18:30. After taking a shower, he will start streaming at 19:00 on time and stream until 24:00.

Every day, his life is carried out in such a standardized operation, in an orderly manner, and no link can be deviated.

The work during the day makes him feel tired, so he has to take a bath every time after work to cheer up himself. In order to avoid affecting the state of streaming, 120 never eats dinner.

Since childhood 120 is a very independent person: he is living independently, economic independence, and this led him to develop the habit of making daily plans for himself and strictly enforce it.

When 120 was in middle school, he began to like to play Warcraft III. After that, when he was in the university, he practiced a lot every day, and he often practicing all night long. In order not to affect the rest of the roommates, he can only mute the training.

"At that time, my classmates were playing League of Legends and I was playing." 120 said, "I don't want to play." And his classmates would say, "If you don't play, please let me use your computer." So 120 would answer them: "I am playing in a tournament!"

Painstaking practice made 120 having a good result, before that, he thought he had no talent. We must know that, after 120 started to play this game, 120 had been playing the game agaisnt "Computer" for two years, to make him familiar with the basic micro. Until he was in the university, he began to play on various platforms. If he lost one, he would like to add that person as friend, and he would use the same tactic to play with the same person for a whole day.

"The amount of practice I did at that time was definitely much more than the current young players, until finally there was a feeling of realization."

The diligent and persistent 120 became famous in 2015,  WCA. He actually defeated the WFZ, who was in good state at the time, and advanced to the offline tournament as the third place in the China Regional Qualifier. After the game, his strategy became famous as well, fast tech and Crypt Fiend in Undead Mirror.

"At the time, Undead Mirror was popular with DK leveling, but I paid more attention to the collection of items, so I used this tactic. I paid attention to the items and resources on the map, and I used heroes as the core to fight. When I defeated him (WFZ), I play like this in all Undead Mirror."

This was one of the few offline tournaments that 120 played, compared with his opponent, he was too young. From 2015 to 2017, although his was rising on world ranking, but his state was fluctuating, and he had never really proved himself.

"In those few years, the tournaments were pretty few, and there was almost no offline tournament," 120 said. "Because I was still in college, so I didn't think too much. I planned to plan for the future after graduation."

In fact, between 2015 and 2017, many Korean players retired or served in military service, and European, American players disappeared too. The ranking of Chinese ranking was almost equal to the world ranking. So, when 120 defeated WFZ, who is one of the top in Chinese ranking, 120 definitely had the strength to get the championship, he was just waiting for an opportunity.

Until 2017, after 120 won the WGL championship, people finally removed the label of "Warcraft Newplayer". In the middle of this, perhaps only he knows how many failures he had experienced in playing Warcraft III for nearly ten years and participating in the tournaments for five to six years.

 I am not a Newbie.

Compared with other "young" esports games, War3 players are generally older. Many players have been married and have children, but they are still active in professional competitions and have achieved good results. 120 believes that the characteristics of this game, it does not depend on your age.

"Warcraft III also has players born after 2000, but they have not made a name for themselves. Even players born in 1997 and 1998 have basically no great achievements. Old players can choose not to play, but it is difficult for new players to play without opponents. Come out, do you understand?" Eer0 is eager to express, with his hands on the strokes. "The old players are active and the new players are too few. The main reason is that there are too few people playing this game. And Warcraft III doesn't matter with age, it is not a game that depends on reaction only, this game requires more from your strategy."

120 is already 24 years old, he may have no advantage in many e-sports games that rely on reaction and speed. However, in Warcraft, it is a golden age, he is recognized as "the player with the best state maintaining" in China. Unfortunately, there are very few Warcraft players in China who having same age with him.

In the past ten years, the game had stopped updating once, and the lack of events, the difficulty of getting started with the game, has become the reason for blocking young people from contacting Warcraft III. During 2014 to 2017, there was a big gap in Warcraft, the new players were not appearing when the "middle-aged" players such as 120, Colourful, and Life are about to play.

In 2018, Warcraft once again got the update. After that, Blizzard announced that the Warcraft III: Reforged will be launched in 2019, which has brought a new turn to the entire Warcraft III industry.

"Maybe Blizzard's staff woke up..." 120 stared with his small eyes.

This update has excited many Warcraft III players, and many people even think: "The patches update is good, I can accept it regardless of whether it is relatively balanced.

In 2018, Warcraft's event has increased again, this making 120 again have a desire to fight. His stream followers are gradually increasing, and the prize money from the tournaments plus the income from streaming has already exceeded his salary during the daytime. For many e-sports new players, especially 120, who just graduated from college and faced pressure from their lives, they have more choices.

"When a new player has a fixed income and can ensure that there is no worry in life, the result will gradually increase. Maybe the old players are still winning games, but in the next six months, everyone may have a chance."

Shortly before accepting our interview, 120 just joined the Team Newbee, and when we asked about the new plan for 2019, 120 said he was preparing for the team league and he might resign the programmer's work.

120 was excited when  he was talking about the 2019 Warcraft's multiple contests and the offline team leagues that had been closed for many years. Unlike the players who have fought in many e-sports tournaments such as WCG and ESWC in the past, 120 has not caught up with that era since his debut. The games he participated in are more play with online.

He said that he is looking forward to live with other players, even the days of training together in the team. "I think Colorful is the same." 120 knows very well about his friends. "Because this is not just a game, it is the first time we can experience the life of an e-sports professional."

For the team league, 120 is very confident in the lineup of his team, Newbee (120, Lyn, Lawliet): "We have won the championship, how do other teams fight against us?!"

He laughed and was beaten by his girlfriend next to him.

My dream is too big, Do you still want me to say?

When 120 was streaming, he found that although Warcraft III has become less famous in recent years, this game still has a group of loyal fans. "Not only people who used to play, who don't play now, but also some other players. A lot of them started their e- sport career with Warcraft III. Although they have transformed Dota or StarCraft 2, they are all concerned about Warcraft."

After winning the 2017 WGL Championship, 120 received a blessing message from a friend who hasn't seen it for a long time, and he has been away from War3 for many years.

During these years, too many friends around 120 have stopped playing Warcraft III. At that time, those dream-seeking people who had been passionate and ambitions have now become process directors, civil servants, some of others have gone to stocks and earned a lot of money. There is only 120 continues his Warcraft career, of course, he will become a programmer during the day and continue his work.

Although it was hard, when he recalled the time of playing War3, 120 never regretted, he said, "Because it made me know a lot of friends, including my current girlfriend, I have a great harvest and it is worth."

In 2019, he wants to play more Warcraft III's games, win more games, be a pure professional player.

Every time we interview an e-sports player, we will finally ask: "What is your dream?"

"My dream is too big, Do you still want me to say?"

120 is a little embarrassed. He turned his head and looked at his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's face looks red.

He said that he wants to buy a house in Beijing, he can at least pay a down payment, he wants to live there with his girlfriend in the future.
